Poster numbers

Please note, we have updated poster numbers so they all contain three decimal places. If a poster number previously had one or two decimal places, it will now start with .0. For example, if a poster number was previously 2.14, it will now be 2.014. This is to help ensure each poster appears for each session. If you have included your poster number on your poster, please do not worry about updating it at this stage.

In-person poster presenter (P/eP/LBP)

If you are presenting in person, you must bring a printed poster, unless you have been invited to present an ePoster.

Printed poster specifications:

It is no longer necessary to include your poster number on the front of your poster. This change supports the reusability of your poster at future events and aligns with our commitment to a more sustainable Congress. Please write your poster number on the back of your poster. This is for identification purposes only, in case multiple posters are removed or become separated from their boards. We will not be able to store or return posters after the Congress.

ePosters

The ePoster presentations will be prominently displayed on screens throughout the Congress venue, with dedicated poster sessions assigned specifically for these presentations. During the scheduled session time, presenters will stand near their allocated screen, while a technical facilitator will coordinate the 5 minutes (2 minute presentation + 2 minute Q&A) per ePoster within the one-hour session. This format provides an excellent opportunity to present your work, engage in interactive discussions with co-presenters in similar fields, and connect with delegates attending the session to listen, ask questions, and exchange ideas.

The use of ePosters is very much part of the future of WMS Congresses and has been widely researched and promoted by our Environmental Sustainability Committee. The award of an ePoster gives you the opportunity to be creative in the way you present your poster, as the zoom function enables a more detailed analysis of your data presentation.

Poster specifications and upload processes are the same as for printed posters.

Uploading your poster

All poster presenters should also upload a virtual poster/ePoster so their poster is available to our virtual audience and anyone viewing the Congress app and virtual platform.

We will send you an email with a personalised link to your presentation portal and upload instructions.

Please follow the virtual poster presenter instructions when you prepare your virtual poster/ePoster. You can upload the same file you send to the poster printer as your virtual poster/ePoster upload file as long as it meets these specifications:

If your poster reference number is x.xxxP it is no longer necessary to create an MP4 video file.

Poster printing

There are several local printers in Hiroshima. Our local partners, Pandora, are able to offer a poster printing service. Requests must be received by 16 September. The cost for an A0 poster is JPY 12,320 (around 60 GBP or 80 USD). To use this service, please email [email protected] before the deadline. Posters will be delivered to the Congress venue on the morning of Tuesday, 29 September.
