Patient advocacy scientific representatives
WMS 2026 is a scientific Congress and is not designed for individual patient advocate attendance. We have a dedicated registration type for scientific representatives of patient advocacy groups.
Please see our sponsorship and exhibition information to find out how Patient Advocacy Groups can engage with delegates, raise awareness, and gain visibility at WMS 2026.
Student registrations
Open to medical students, trainee doctors pursuing primary specialities, PhD students, postdocs, MSc students, or equivalent roles. Delegates should have no direct interest/shares in pharmaceutical companies or be primarily employed by a profit-making organisation (less than 50% employment).
Non-member students need to provide a scan of a valid student ID and a letter from their course supervisor confirming their ongoing student project or status. This letter, ideally in English, should specify the student's status (Undergraduate, basic or medical student, Master's, PhD student, resident in training, or postdoc) and the duration of this status. If the letter is not in English, please underline important keywords. During registration, you'll upload these documents. For any clarification regarding your student status, contact Gina Ravenscroft at [email protected].
Industry registrations
Relevant for delegates in the pharmaceutical and related industry sectors. By selecting this registration type, you are stating that you have direct interest/shares in a pharmaceutical company or are more than 50% employed by a profit-making organisation.
As with previous Congresses, industry registrations for WMS 2026 are capped. Following feedback from WMS 2024, the cap has been increased from 20% to 30% of total registrations. This 30% includes sponsor and exhibitor package tickets.
Non-sponsoring companies may register a maximum of two in-person attendees. Each global organisation is responsible for managing this limit and ensuring staff register using their business email address. If more than two people from the same company register, additional registrations beyond the first two will be converted to virtual tickets or refunded, subject to a 20% administrative fee.
The cap is designed to ensure the Congress remains an open and welcoming forum that supports scientific and educational exchange, dynamic discussion, and the development of new collaboration networks.
Abstracts submitted by sponsoring, exhibiting, or other industry organisations must be presented by individuals registered within that organisation’s allocated global ticket allowance.
To manage the 30% cap, registration limits have been set per sponsorship item. If your organisation is listed as a confirmed sponsor but you are unsure who the global coordinator is, please contact the organisers.
There is no limit on virtual registrations for delegates from pharmaceutical and related industries. Attendance across all ticket types will be regularly monitored to ensure fair access and broad participation, rather than concentration among a small number of organisations.
Please see our sponsorship and exhibition information to find out how Industry can engage with delegates, raise awareness, and gain visibility at WMS 2026.
WMS member/non-member registration (according to WMS Membership status) applies to delegates who:
Sponsor/exhibitor registrations
Each person attending to support the company's sponsorship and exhibition activities must be registered individually by the group contact. Sponsor and exhibitor tickets provide the same level of access to Congress sessions and virtual platform features as delegate Congress tickets.
Sponsorship tickets for HCPs do not require allocation from your quotas. These professionals should register as non-industry delegates using their academic or organisational email to undergo the standard vetting processes. If required, for sponsorship purposes, invoices can be amended for settlement on behalf of your organisation.
Agency registrations/registering on behalf of someone else
Group registrations are no longer available. All delegates must be registered individually. Agencies may still complete and submit registrations on behalf of delegates. During the registration process, you can indicate that you are registering on behalf of someone else and include your agency’s name.
The registration process remains simple and familiar, and agencies can continue to pay on behalf of the delegate. If your agency is unable to cover the costs of networking dinners, receptions, or group activities, please inform both the delegate and the registration manager, [email protected], who will then contact the delegate directly with instructions on how to register and pay for their own Congress functions.
Italian registrations
For assistance with processing the required documentation for the Italian Ministry of Health, please contact: Marzia Sonson, Atlante Viaggi Italia Srl, via Bandello 1 (ang. Corso Magenta), 20123 Milano, e-mail: [email protected], web: www.atlanteviaggi.com
Registered delegates who are unable to attend the Congress must forward a written cancellation (by email) to the WMS Congress Registration Manager.
Refunds of the registration fee (minus 20% for administration costs) and optional social activities will be granted if notification of cancellation reaches the Secretariat in writing on or before 1 August 2026. After this date, cancellations will not be refunded. Refunds will be processed after the Congress. No refunds will be granted for delegates who simply don't attend.
Name changes on any registration will be charged an admin fee as it creates an entirely new registration.
Delegates can change their registration type from in-person to virtual (or virtual to in-person if spaces are still available) until 4 September 2026.
