One of the great benefits of WMS Congresses is the great breadth of science shared by our delegates.
Abstract submissions for WMS 2026 closed in April and our Programme Committee met in May to review more than 850 submitted abstracts. Of those submitted abstracts, some have been selected for presentation in our plenary sessions, some for short oral presentations and others were offered space as poster presentations.
Due to space limitations in the venue at Hiroshima, we will be displaying 425 physical posters and 280 ePosters. All poster presenters have been asked to submit a digital version of their poster for display in our virtual platform and Congress app. Short oral presenters are invited to submit an ePoster which will be available to view on our ePoster screens outside of the poster session times.
Presenting your work at WMS 2026 is a great way of sharing it with an audience of more than 1,000 specialists in the field of neuromuscular disorders. In previous years, presenters have gone on to secure additional funding, form meaningful collaborations and meet many other people working in the same specialist area.
There is one remaining opportunity to submit work for presentation at WMS 2026. Our abstract portal will reopen for late-breaking abstract submissions from 1-31 August 2026. We will be looking for the most exciting, recent, and (ideally) unpublished findings on any aspect of neuromuscular disorders. To submit a late-breaking abstract, you must be registered to attend WMS 2026.
